The Shot of Scotch Vancouver dance company regularly performs across the lower mainland of BC in public events that feature both traditional Highland dances and contemporary choreographies.

From community events to Scottish cèilidhs to Robbie Burns celebrations, our performances consistently impress and inspire.

Highland Bhangra Fusion | 2019
In 2013, Shot of Scotch Vancouver began work with the Royal Academy of Punjab in creating what would become 10+ years of collaboration on our Highland Bhangra Fusion, reaching thousands of viewers and the attention of media outlets around the world.

 

Performance FAQs

  • We can dance to recorded music, bagpipes or Celtic bands depending on what type of performance you are looking for. We work with many excellent musicians so are happy to talk with you about including them in our performance.

  • Probably, yes! Videos of our Highland Bhangra collaboration with the Royal Academy of Punjab spread far and wide each time they are posted online. This is one of our favourite dances to perform and we’d love to talk with you about presenting it at your event.

  • Nope! We have danced on everything from the stages of large theatres to local pubs to the middle of the street. Though we prefer to not dance on concrete, Highland dancing is a very flexible dance form, and we can design our program to fit nearly every performance venue.

  • The earlier you contact us the better. Our calendar can fill up quickly, especially in January for Robbie Burns events.
    If you are thinking about an event you have coming up in a few weeks, months, or later this year, reach out and let’s chat about it now.

  • Contact us directly so we can learn about what your event is, how long of a program you are looking for and how we can customise it to really impress your guests. From there, we’ll send you a contract to lock in the date. Easy!
