New York Military Tattoo 2015!

The 2015 New York Military Tattoo was a huge success! Shot of Scotch NYC was so incredibly privileged to dance two original choreographies in three separate shows this year! The choreographies were put together by former Highland Dancing World Champion, Rachel McLagan! Rachel and her dancers from Scotland's own Flings and Things along with the Celtic Cross Dancers from Canada joined us in this once in a lifetime event!

We also wanted to thank the ever talented and ambitious director of the event, Mr. Magnus Orr! This is your vision Magnus and we are so proud to be a part of it! Until next year! Slainte!

NYC Tartan Week Was A Success!

Shot of Scotch NYC wants to thank everyone for such a successful and fun NYC Tartan Week 2015! We were busy celebrating Scotland all over NYC and were proud to bring the art of Scottish Highland dancing to Scottish enthusiasts throughout the NYC area!

We kicked off the week dancing for the starting line of the annual Scotland Run sponsored by NYRR. Then midweek two of our dancers, Kendra and Libby, performed for the St. Andrews Society of New York. Then we started off our weekend performing at the Pre-Parade Ceilidh hosted by the Caledonia Club of NY! Next up, the big show, SoS NYC was proud to march with thousands at the 17th Annual NY Tartan Day Parade, featuring our Grand Marshal Graham McTavish! And if that wasn't enough we rounded out our weekend performing at the Lunch Time Series at Bryant Park alongside the very talented Oban High School Pipe Band! Phew! We will be resting up a bit before another string of shows so stayed tuned everyone and once again thank you for all of your support!

NYC Tartan Day Parade!

SoS NYC is in the midst of celebrating New York Tartan Week, culminating with the 17th annual New York Tartan Day Parade on Saturday April 11th! The parade kicks off at 2pm in Manhattan and marches up 6th Avenue from 45th Street to 54th Street. We will be accompanied by numerous Pipe Bands, Highland Dancers, Scottish Clans and Scottie Dogs from all corners of the World!

We can't wait to dance and we can't wait to see you there!!!
